You can do almost everything (software related) on a gaming laptop that a laptop could do. You can render graphics videos 3d aninations provided it has sufficient RAM and good gpu. It can run VMs to test your code and newly built softwares on, it can be dual booted with linux or specifically Kali Linux for vulnerability testing and for security tests.
Simpler and easier tasks like for entertainment surfing internet typing and common day to day office related works are not even worth mentioning in things a gaming laptop could do!!
